Brain of Jay

Hinder the Fear…

on

The mixed emotions of the event had me more confused than anything; everyone is trying their hardest to make light and be funny, but at the same time everyone is trying to stay so seriously focused before combat. I get it—we all try and hide our anxiety by creating laughter or boldness to make light of things. It’s okay to be scared, as a fighter, its human nature to undergo a roller coaster of feelings and emotions right before show-time, but, that doesn’t mean we should hide how we are truly feeling—that is a battle on its own—we must embrace the emotion.

To get locked inside that cage is terrifying, yet, euphoric. An array of emotions runs through our brains right before the fighters touch gloves, feelings that most will not understand, or even undergo. Fighting is something most people could only dream of doing.

Live it…
